They might be famous, but when it comes to making babies - they are a lot like us.

This is just a brief list of some celebrities that have battled infertility and conquered it in various ways . They might play characters that have super powers or seem to be on top of the world but, at the end of the day they are just like you and me.

Brooke Shields and her husband Chris Henchy who were public about their use of fertility treatments are reported to have used seven IVF attempts to finally conceive their daughter Rowan Francis. It was also reported that they were able to conceive their second daughter, Grier Hammond naturally. Her book, Down Comes the Rain, chronicles Brooke’s struggles with PPD and infertility.

It's been reported that Julia Roberts and her husband Danny Moder used IVF to conceive their twins Hazel and Phinnaeus. This has been denied by her publicist. However, those in the the infertility community question this denial, as Julia announced the sexes of the twins only 9 weeks into her pregnancy, and was spotted at an infertility center.

Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross, is reported to have used fertility treatment to conceive her twins. She has often spoken of the troubles and reality of becoming pregnant after 40 and is quoted as saying..
"I don’t like the average woman being misled into thinking that fertility is something that goes on forever. When a woman gets older, they get a donor egg, which doesn’t make the baby any less beautiful or perfect. One’s own eggs only last so long, and sometimes at 43 or 44 you can have your own baby, but statistically it’s very difficult and expensive. You don’t want to wait that long."

Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance struggled with infertility for several years and finally used Angela's egg, Courtney's sperm and a surrogate to become parents. The boy/girl twin set were named BronwynGolden and Slater Josiah.

Sisters and bandmates Martie Maquire and Emily Robison from the group Dixie Chicks have been open about using IVF to conceive their two sets of twins, as well as Emily’s son. Dixie Chicks song "So hard" was inspired by their struggles to conceive. Martie has daughters Kathleen and Eva, while Emily has son Gus, and twins Henry and Julianna.

Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra Lee Furness tried multiple times to have a baby, but it did not happen for them. Instead, they adopted their son, Oscar and daughter, Ava. Hugh is quoted as saying:
"We still wanted to adopt. That was our plan: we’ll have two and we’ll adopt one. Anyway we didn’t have children. We tried and that was tough. But the moment Oscar arrived, it just felt like he was always meant to come that way. I forget he’s adopted; he’s just my son."

Celine Dion and husband Rene went through numerous fertility treatments before conceiving their children. They struggled for 6 years to conceive their son Rene-Charles and it took multiple tries with IVF including a miscarriage to conceive their twin sons Nelson Angelil and Eddy Angelil.

Cindy Margolis, suffered from unexplained infertility. After 3 unsuccessful IVF attempts, Cindy became pregnant using the GIFT procedure, and son Nicholas was born. When it came time for more children, Cindy and her husband went the surrogate route, welcoming twin daughter Sierra and Sabrina

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis and husband Christopher Guest, revealed that they adopted her children Annie and Thomas after struggles conceiving.
